Project finance & partnership
Beyond upstream concessions, EGAS develops projects that expand, modernise and decarbonise the gas system — and welcomes financiers and strategic partners to take part.
Projects are structured according to their nature and scale: some are financed on EGAS's balance sheet with support from development finance institutions and export credit agencies, while others are open to equity partnership, build-operate-transfer models or long-term service arrangements.
International development finance institutions, including the World Bank, have long supported programmes in Egypt's gas sector, such as connecting households to the natural gas network.
