HSE & Environmental Management
No activity is so urgent that it cannot be done safely. Our HSE policy applies to every person, site and partner.
Our HSE policy
Goal zero: no harm to people, no damage to the environment
EGAS is committed to conducting all its operations in a manner that protects the health and safety of its people, the communities it serves and the environment.
We enforce strict standards across exploration, production, processing, transmission and distribution, in compliance with Egyptian law — including the Environment Law No. 4 of 1994 — and international best practice. Every contractor and joint venture is held to the same standard.
Our HSE management systems follow the plan–do–check–act model of international standards such as ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

Standards in practice
Process safety
Permit-to-work on every site
Hot work, confined-space entry and lifting operations require a verified permit, a risk assessment and a competent supervisor.
Emergency response
Prepared for every scenario
Regular drills with civil defence and operators test response to leaks, fires and offshore incidents.
Impact assessment
Environmental approval before every project
New projects undergo an environmental impact assessment reviewed by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, with mitigation measures carried into design, construction and operation.
Climate and emissions
