Who We Are
Egypt's national natural gas holding company — managing the full value chain from exploration to the customer's door since 2001.
Who we are
The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) was established in 2001 under the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to lead the exploration, development, processing, transmission and marketing of natural gas across Egypt.
EGAS signs and manages gas concession agreements with international oil and gas companies, oversees field development and production programmes, and secures supply to power stations, industry and more than 15 million households.
Through its subsidiaries, affiliates and joint ventures, EGAS stands behind the processing plants, the national transmission grid and two LNG export complexes that position Egypt as a regional energy hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Upstream
EGAS is the Egyptian party to gas concession agreements with Eni, Shell, bp, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Harbour Energy and others, steering exploration across the Mediterranean, the Nile Delta and the Western Desert.

Midstream
Through GASCO and the gas distribution companies, the EGAS group plans, builds and operates the pipelines, compressor stations and city-gate facilities that keep Egypt supplied around the clock.

Downstream & trade
With two LNG complexes, the Arab Gas Pipeline and regasification capacity, EGAS turns Egypt's location into a strategic advantage for the East Mediterranean gas trade.
