Sustainability

Sustainability Governance

Clear accountability, integrity and transparency underpin every sustainability commitment we make.

Governance

Accountability from the boardroom to the field

As Egypt's state-owned natural gas holding company, EGAS manages a national resource on behalf of the public. Sound governance is how we earn that trust.

The EGAS Board of Directors, reporting to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, sets the company's sustainability direction and approves its objectives. Executive management translates them into targets and resources, while subsidiaries and joint ventures are accountable for delivery at asset level.

HSE and sustainability performance is reviewed alongside production, financial and project performance, so that it carries equal weight in decision-making.

Supply chain

Responsible partners and suppliers

Contractors and suppliers are qualified against technical, financial, HSE and integrity criteria, and joint-venture partners are held to the same standards we apply to ourselves.

Sustainability is not a separate agenda — it is part of how we decide, invest and operate every day.
